Whats in the huts
Meadow Hut
True New Zealand backcountry huts with the luxury of Ski In and Ski Out. The Bob Lee and Meadow Huts are accessible from the groomed cross country trail system. You don't have to be an expert to ski to the huts. The trails that connect the huts are manageable after a day or two of learning cross country skiing with the Meadow Hut only 3.8km from the main lodge and Bob Lee Hut 6.5km.These huts offer great access to the fantastic Pisa range back country terrain.
Both huts are equipped with wood stove, wood, cooking utensils, cutlery etc. Bedding available on request
The huts are able to be booked in the summer for walking, biking and admiring the alpine flowers.
The Meadow Hut is a great place to head with any level of skier. It is accessed via River Run track, which is a gentle downhill and flat track to the hut.
The Bob Lee Hut is 6 Kms from the Snow Farm lodge on the trail system. The area is more exposed than the Meadow Hut and a more advanced level of skiing is required to get to the Bob Lee. This is one of the original huts on the mountain. There are excellent views of the Alps including Mt Cook. There are two huts sleeping 8 and 6, with a Log Fire, Cutlery, Plates etc.
Please note that package prices include day passes for both days of your stay, hut fees, gear transport and skigear hire . Hut fees and transport are fixed. The Day passes and hire are discounted.
We have request for hut guests to be transported to the huts by snowmobile. This is discretionary and all booking for hut transport must be made through Snow Farm. Oversnow Tours operate a snowmobile tour not a hut transport. They have awesome tours that is a great experience for snow lovers. Check out their tours. Oversnow tours
The Deposit secures your Hut Booking: number of people x the hut fees. Bob lee $20pp Meadow $30pp
Hut fees must be paid in full prior to arriving at the Snow Farm

Please note that these prices are already discounted for day fees and hire. Hut & transport fees are fixed
An over night l fee (includes 2 day fees )
Over night ski hire (includes 2 days hire)
Meadow Hut $30 per person per night
Bob Lee Hut $20 per person per night
Pack delivery and pick-up(On day of departure, luggage will return to Snow Farm no ealier than 12 noon and could be later Please inform us if you need you gear earlier)
is included in your per night cost a reduction of $10 per person if you carry your own packs.
If you want the hut exclusive to our booking you will need to pay the total hut fees of:
Meadow Hut $500
Bob Lee $280
This is reduces your overnight price by $20 per Bob Lee Hut cost and $30 per Meadow hut booking. It is not a total fee for the group. Other fees are still required.

Dog policy and overnight huts
Dogs are not permitted to sleep over in the huts.
Deposit for the hut fee is essential to secure your place. Full payment prior to arrival please.
Bookings do not entitle you to exclusive use of the huts unless prior arrangements are made and you have paid for exclusive use.
Full payment needs to be made one week prior to arriving.
Bookings to be confirmed require a full deposit of the hut fees. The deposits will be transferable to another time if the Snow Farm deem the weather unsuitable for your group. We have had groups cancel because the forecast is bad and at the time of cancellation we were confident that the weather would be good in fact both times it was a weekend of weather that was perfect. Snow farm has its own weather climate eg in a South Westerly you can be assured while it is cold there is usually no wind and other mountains closed because the wind affects the chairlifts.
Cancellation policy applies to all bookings. Please pay on line by either direct credit or credit card.
Your deposit confirms your booking. Please email us on snowfarmnz@gmail.com for an invoice for total booking .
Deposits are non refundable. Bookings paid in full will receive a full refund minus hut fees within one month of the booked date. Within the month prior we will refund depending on our ability to fill the hut.
For bad weather we will transfer the payment to another time or refund less 10% admin fee, if we deem the weather not suitable for you to go to the hut eg. if you have small children we are conscious the weather has to be excellent. Snow Farm has its own climate, and is protected from some wind that affect other ski fields in the area.
The Snow farm is at 1500 m. If you are bringing your car please check that your car has plenty of antifreeze and the chains fit.
We would prefer you arrive early in the day as it can take some time to go out to the hut.
