Hiking & Tramping      Trail descriptions

 

Whatever your age or ability, you will find the tramping trails at Snow Farm easy to access.  The sign posted routes are ideal for those after a challenging hike or an easy stroll. 

 

Native alpine plants and various wildlife are all on the Pisa Range.  You can stay overnight at one of the huts on the trails.

 

Access to the DOC tracks start at Snow Farm.  Walk to the Lowburn Pack Track and / or the Roaring Meg Powerhouse in the Cromwell Gorge.

Perfect for a day out whatever the weather, Snow Farm’s secluded trails enable you to see some of the best New Zealand has to offer. 

 

Between the 8km & 9km road markings, you will find the Possum Bourne memorial statue.  There is parking at the side of the road and you can walk approx. 10 minutes down to the statue.

We ask that you please stay to the trails & sign in at the office before and after your walk.
