 Andrew Pohl Born in Dunedin started his skiing career with the Nordic Youth Development programmes. Andy's success is tributed to his dedication to sport and making the opportunities available to youth in the development programmes happen. He has spent the last three summers working in Canada at Trail Sports Canmore and has received a tremendous amount of support from his Canadian friends.                                                  

 

Andrew Pohl classes Cross Country Skiing as possibly the hardest aerobic and anaerobic sport on the planet and is set to prove to himself and others that he can achieve his goal of competing at the Olympic Games. Andrew sees wearing the silver fern as joining a select group of New Zealanders who have represented their country and he’s proud to be close to joining this group. Vancouver will be his first Olympic Games and he’s looking forward testing himself on the long assents and tight technical descents of the Whistler course.

Andy is competing at the U23 World Championships Teams
